Sorry, I had to get that out of my system, or rather get it into your system; Super Hot is literally the most innovative shooter I have played in years.I remember when this game was fresh out of a 7 day FPS jam made by a small team, it had these cool slow motion mechanics where time only moves when you move and you could dodge bullets and shoot people.

Now look at it, after the game picked up a decent amount of steam the developers have spent time designing levels and a selection of different weapons to bash your enemy’s heads in or spray them down from a distance.

Not only that but you need to play this game with some decent bass and headphones If possible, at least a surround sound setup because the audio is so atmospheric, it takes you on a journey to free yourself, the system will free you I swear, I really don’t want to give too much away in this review it’s just something you have to be enslaved to experience for yourself 😉 Every single weapon in the game forces you to approach them differently whether it’s tactfully dodging to the side or throwing the nearest object at their face in order to get them to drop their arms.

This game will challenge you, make you laugh and cry at the same time and intrigue you beyond any game in a while.It even has this retro feel to it, much of the story is using ASCII art to portray the story, or communicate with you, along with some horrifying yet fitting sound effects it brings this unique element I have never seen before.

Even for the simplistic feel of this game, the graphics are pretty fancy, when you kill an enemy they shatter into pieces or the particles that come from bullets making contact with metal or glass shattering around you as the room erupts with bullets.On the surface, it may look like a game, but I assure you this is no game, this is a tool. A very dangerous tool that should only be used with caution.I have said too much already, the system will set you free.
