It’s not everyday you say I need a sailor but today we do as we’re back playing the best Sega game ever!!

Welcome to a FULL playthrough of Sega’s greatest game and indeed possibly the best game ever made, a timeless classic from the Dreamcast, Shenmue.

Last time we got a lead that Lan Di might be Chinese and so it would be best to ask other Chinese people if they know about him, so our first stop is to the Global Travel Agency where the man suggests we visit the Ajiichi Restaurant. Before that though, we’re gonna visit our buddy, Yamagashi San, in the park so he can teach us a new move, Double Blow.

When we visit Ajiichi Restaurant Tao-San tells us about the 3 blades and suggests we go and speak to a couple of them. After speaking to Itoi San, Lui San at the barbershop and then Lui San’s father we find out that Lan Di’s name suggests he may be involved with the Chinese cartel or mafia so I thought try asking around for sailors because they have dodgy dealings with the cartel down at the docks.

Tom at the hotdog stand suggests we should try checking out some bars if we want to find sailors so we head over to Heartbeats, experience our first QTE and get ourselves into a bar fight. Once we clear the place out we find out that Charlie is the man we need to speak to, he deals in smuggled goods and the info we’ve got to go in is…. we loves his motorbike, he always wears glasses and a leather jacket, and has a tatoo. A quick chat with Ono San at the bikeshop reveals that Charlie is a bit of a poser and likes to hang around the jacket shop so that’ll be my next port of call but we need to get some sleep first. Just before bed, back at the Hazuki Residence we find a mysterious scroll in the family dojo but it’s written in Chinese so we need to find someone who can translate it for us.
